Girlbossing Your Budget with BFM Health and Living

Uno Advisers was pleased to be part of BFM’s Health & Living (For Her) for a lively and meaningful panel discussion titled “Girlbossing Your Budget.” The session featured our co-founder and licensed financial planner, Kimberly Law, alongside Nor Fazleen Zakaria, General Manager, Education and Outreach Division, AKPK, and was moderated by Lim Sue Ann, Presenter/Producer at BFM Media.

The discussion centred on a simple but important idea: budgeting and managing your finances should not feel like a burden. Instead, it can be a practical and empowering way to build the life you want. From planning for a dream holiday to preparing for a first home or getting an early start on retirement, the session explored how intentional money habits can support personal goals at every stage of life.

During the conversation, Kimberly shared that financial planning is not only about numbers, but also about creating clarity and confidence for the future. She highlighted how budgeting helps individuals understand where their money is going, set realistic goals, and make decisions that align with the lifestyle they want to enjoy. The panel also touched on the importance of growing income, building better money habits and learning how to make money work harder through purposeful planning.

At Uno Advisers, we believe financial planning should be approachable, relevant and personalised. Kimberly’s participation in this conversation reflects our ongoing commitment to making financial literacy in Malaysia more accessible, especially for women who want to build a stronger financial future with purpose. We are grateful to BFM Media for creating a platform for these conversations and to everyone who joined us for the session.

The phrase “rich auntie is a vibe” may have brought some fun to the panel, but the message behind it was serious and timely: building wealth starts with small, intentional money decisions. When budgeting is aligned with your lifestyle goals, it becomes less about restriction and more about creating freedom.
